Bad Tölz/Wackersberg – Whether you’re a nature lover, adventurer, movie buff or music fan – there’s something for everyone at the Blomberg Forest Games Festival over ten days.
At the press conference to present the festival, you can immediately feel why the event has been extended from three to ten days: the organizational team is just brimming with enthusiasm when the many activities at Blomberg are reported.
"With the many ideas that came up, it quickly became clear that we needed more days," says the deputy spa director Susanne Frey-Allgaier.
Referring to Blomberg coordinator Manuel Wilke, she continues: "No matter what ideas we come up with, he always says: We'll manage it," laughs Frey-Allgaier.
Blomberg Forest Games Festival starts on Friday, July 1st
Mayor Ingo Mehner also seems to know the team's activism, because he asks with a smile that they should now slowly come to an end with the planning and not add any further actions.
Because the festival begins on Friday, July 1st, but it really does offer something for everyone.
From musical evenings in front of a mountain panorama, night tobogganing, Kneipp walks, yoga on the mountain, art projects, forest tours with the rangers, storytelling under the whisper umbrella, relaxation in the hammock forest, cool drinks from the tree cocktail bar at the climbing forest or open-air cinema - the varied program leaves nothing to be desired.
Romy Brandl from Tourist Information explains that the offer is intended to appeal to both children and adults.
Concerts are free
Some workshops require a participation fee, while others do not.
The concerts are definitely free.
"We don't just want to offer culture to those who can afford it," says Mehner, explaining the decision.
Admission to the open-air cinema near the valley station costs ten euros.
The films start around 9.45 p.m. as soon as it is dark enough.
"And of course there's popcorn," adds Frey-Allgaier.
On the last day of the event, the open-air cinema takes place on the mountain and is free of charge.
The film will be shown by Bernd Ritschel, who is also an ambassador for the "Conservation begins with you" campaign.
This is to show that pleasure and nature conservation go well together.
Frey-Allgaier summarizes: The wide range of offers “reflects the mountain.
That's what Blomberg is like."
