Samar did not stand idly by in the face of the pressure of the increasing life needs, but rather she willingly and persistently sought to invest her academic studies and creative skills in the field of portraiture within a small project that guarantees her a kind of economic stability and secures her part of her financial requirements.

The young woman, Samar Khair Bek, 26 years old, has been fond of drawing since she was young, so this creative tendency continued within her, which eventually pushed her to join the Teachers’ Preparation Institute in Homs, specializing in portrait painting, as she explained in her speech to the SANA Youth Bulletin, indicating that she sought to employ her experiences to be the nucleus of a small project that would yield a profit. financially acceptable.

Continuous training based on the systematic academic study about Samar’s talent to a professional work that she practices daily in her modest studio, where her paintings are scattered here and there, revealing an artistic instinct that the young woman honed with all she could of exercise, development and knowledge of various drawing techniques.

She said, "I chose the portrait because of my great love for details, features, and faces that are rich in feelings and secrets, and they are drawings that I executed with pencils and charcoal, giving them many bursts of my soul and feelings to speak life, which made the audience accept to contemplate and reflect on them before people started to buy

my works or request special drawings.

She pointed out that she was able to open her own studio after years of work and training, where she spends most of her time, indicating that she devote herself to painting and fulfilling the requests of those who wish. and Latakia.

Samar aspires to expand the scope of her work to include all governorates so that her name becomes among the list of plastic artists whose country is proud of, especially that her passion for drawing, according to her, is no less than her love for athletics, in which she won second place at the Syrian level in the 400-meter race and the first at the level of Homs in 3 km race.
