Dorfen

– Due to the pandemic, inflation and the current bridge construction on the B 15, shops in downtown Dorfen have to bridge a dry spell.

That's why the Förderkreis Dorfen now wants to encourage people to buy something in the city with a competition.

"Bridge Days" is the name of the campaign in which buyers can submit their invoices in the coming months and, with a little luck, get the value of their purchase back.

"So it's worth driving to Dorfen - despite the construction site and traffic jams," advertises Stefan Tremmel, chairman of the association and managing director of the electronics retailer Heuschneider.

Up to 1,500 euros will be raffled off every month among all receipts submitted from sponsorship member shops as long as the construction work and diversions make it difficult to get to the city center.

There is a large box at the hardware store “Josef Ziegler – Zum Pollin” on Unterer Markt.

It is also possible to send a scan of the receipts by email to gewinnspiel@foerderkreis -dorfen.de.

The first drawing took place recently.

Fortuna was particularly kind to a customer of Gröschl household goods: the winner gets a refund of 600 euros.

Buyers from Schuhhaus Schmid, the Gauster nursery and a number of other Dorfen shops did not go away empty-handed either.

"5.90 euros for bread and rolls from Martin's bakery was the lowest bill we pay, so of course we round up to ten euros," says Tremmel.

Of course, catering bills from one of the many restaurants in Dorfen could also be submitted.

The support group has a total of 150 members.

"We have a great business structure in Dorfen," says Tremmel.

The dealers now also have web shops.

"Online retailers aren't quicker when it comes to delivering goods, plus there's good service and the best advice on site - I don't even want to talk about the packaging waste caused by mail order."
