Air traffic over large parts of Germany is restricted on Wednesday.
The reason for this are technical problems with German air traffic control.

This was explained by a spokeswoman for the federal institution.

Until then, only limited flights can be flown, it is said.

The Center Langen controls the lower airspace in central Germany with important airports such as Düsseldorf, Cologne and Frankfurt.
The area extends from Kassel to Lake Constance and from the French border to Thuringia.
Overflights are not affected because they are monitored by controllers in the Center Karlsruhe.
