Adviser to the Palestinian Presidency's Office for Jerusalem Affairs Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi confirmed that the Israeli occupation's seizure of lands of Palestinians in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem to hand them over to settlers is part of its plans to Judaize it.
Al-Ruwaidi explained in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the occupation’s seizure of lands in different areas of the Old City and its surroundings, especially in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Umayyad Palaces area, and near the neighborhoods of Wadi Hilweh and Al-Thawri in Silwan, aims to encircle the Old City and impose Israeli control over it.
Al-Ruwaidi indicated that these lands are endowment and the occupation wants to obliterate their features and change their historical identity, which confirms the reality of the Arab, Islamic and Christian city, stressing that Palestine will continue to work with the international community to stop the occupation’s flagrant violations of international covenants and United Nations resolutions.
