The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau said that since the hotline service was launched on February 8, the number of incoming calls once reached over 10,000 per day in mid-March.
With the improvement of the epidemic situation, the current number of incoming calls has remained at about 1,000 per day, and the average number of incoming calls after midnight is less than five per hour.
The telephone hotline will continue to provide support and assistance to those who are "staying safe and fighting the epidemic", and will refer cases to relevant departments for follow-up as necessary.
