Involving young people in the design of the location is one of the goals of the Poinger youth concept.
Now secondary school students have presented their ideas for the Lerchenwinkel.
Poing – activities band and Bergfeldplatz: Two areas on the northern edge of the Lerchenwinkel development area that want to be filled with life.
In the past few weeks and months, the students in class 10c at the Dominik-Brunner-Realschule have been thinking about how this could work.
In a local political business game, they developed ideas for a concept that 16-year-old Sarah Klein presented on Tuesday evening at the meeting of the building and environmental committee of the Poing municipal council and received great applause from all committee members at the end.
Poing: Proposals for Bergfeldplatz and activity band
The activity band and Bergfeldplatz are located directly on Bergfeldstraße, with the future high school located in between.
It is not yet clear when construction will start.
There should be offers in both areas for young people in particular, which is why the Realschule students had the task of making suggestions in the simulation game.
Committee members from all parliamentary groups announced that these should be included in the detailed plans and, if possible, implemented.
The final decision-making authority will rest with the municipal council.

The ideas and suggestions of class 10c in detail: fenced basketball court, soundproof hill for residential development with a roof and space for meeting, insect meadow, meadow with benches and tables as well as a café/meeting point on Bergfeldplatz (opposite the Edeka market).
With regard to the latter, a working group from 10c has given specific thought to how and who could run the (internet) café, which should be located near the high school.
In this context, Sarah Klein said: "We young people in Poing don't really have covered places where we can meet."
Applause and approval from all groups
Mayor Thomas Stark (independent) announced that the ideas would be included in further planning and discussions.
Carola Stoll, teacher and leader of the final year 10c, announced that she would continue to work on the topic of "involving young people": "Now you've got me on the cheek," she said with a smile.
Also with a view of the planned pump track facility, which is to be built behind the building yard or near the fairground.
The City Council unanimously approved the project.
