Tonight (Wednesday), contacts resumed between opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu and Bnei Gantz, mediated by the ultra-Orthodox parties led by Moshe Gafni and Aryeh Deri.
On the table is the proposal for blue and white chairman Ganz to serve as the first prime minister in rotation and after that he will enter Prime Minister Netanyahu's office.
Gantz, however, vetoed the legal discussions and feared that the deal would be seen as bad in right-wing circles and the Likud refuses at this stage.
Both sides deny.
Meanwhile, the Knesset has not yet dissolved, due to disagreements over the issue of promoting the Metro Law, among other things, and disagreement over the date itself.
Thus, the parties have a few more hours to try and form an alternative government in the current Knesset.
