»We do our best, we use every day and treat as many patients as possible while we can.

I hope this continues for a while, we'll just have to wait and see what happens

."

The US Supreme Court's decision to strip women of their right to abortion sparked a nationwide legal wrangling.

Some Republican-governed states reacted immediately with strict bans on abortion - including rape and incest.

Abortion clinics, on the other hand, are suing – sometimes with success, such as the Hope Medical Group for Women in Shreveport, Louisiana.

“So when we got word that the restraining order was in effect, we immediately started calling and confirming today's appointments and Thursday's appointments, and then confirming those that had been canceled for Friday and Saturday.

It may only be temporary.

Maybe we can't go on much longer.

I hope so.

But at least in the meantime there are women that we treat and for whom it means everything that they can come to us and have this procedure done.

An unwanted pregnancy is life-changing, and for so many women, not in a good way.«

A new court date is scheduled for July 8.

Whether clinics in Louisiana will be allowed to continue performing abortions in the future is uncertain.

There is no national regulation of abortion in the United States.

However, abortions were permitted at least until the fetus was viable, i.e. up to around the 24th week.

“We're not making any more appointments.

We are fully booked this week and next.

And if there is still something free, those on the waiting list will get their turn.

We still have a waiting list of over 400 people
