Managers are definitely unaware of the crisis.
Not only are their recruitments on the rise, with more than 269,000 hires made in 2021, a level close to that before the crisis.
But their pay is also skyrocketing.
Last year, no less than 46% of them saw an increase, a jump of 12 points in one year and a level almost identical to that of 2019, according to the 2022 barometer of executive compensation published this Thursday by the association for the employment of executives (Apec).
As a result, the median annual salary (fixed and variable) now reaches 51,000 euros, versus 50,000 euros a year earlier.
As in previous years, the increase in the remuneration of executives occurs automatically, in two thirds of cases, after a professional mobility, that is to say a change of position or company.
