Fire in Paris in the 16th arrondissement: nine injured, a hundred firefighters on site

The soldiers of the fire brigade fight against a fire that started in a four-storey building. Two of the nine injured are seriously, according to a provisional report.


Since this morning, 8 a.m., firefighters have been mobilized at 56 rue de Longchamp, in the 16th.

A fire broke out in this four-storey building and a hundred firefighters are now on the scene,

the balance sheet is very provisional

", nine people were injured, two of them seriously.

As soon as they arrived, the firefighters evacuated the occupants of the building who had appeared at the windows.

The emergency services are now carrying out the reconnaissance of the apartments, to check that no victim is still present on the scene.

On Twitter, the Paris police headquarters and firefighters announced the "

ongoing intervention

", recommending not to approach the area and not to clutter the emergency lines.

On the social network, several people have posted photos of the fire and the thick black smoke coming out of the building.
