The striking landmark of Bad Tölz has once again been scaffolded: the Calvary Church is currently being renovated.
And it will remain so for a while.
Bad Tölz
- "Last year in early summer there was hail damage during a storm," explains Mesner Heinz Bader.
The hail hit the facade almost horizontally.
"There was chipping all over the wall." On the floor it looked as if it had snowed because all the plaster had trickled down.
Just recently, the chapel on Calvary also had to be repaired due to hail damage.
"It's never been this bad," says Bader.
"The storms are getting heavier."
It was only two years ago that the outer wall had to be renovated due to damage, and the same company is now working again.
The work must be done quickly, "otherwise water and moisture will get in".
The insurance would reimburse the damage.

The work should be completed by August.
Future damage cannot be avoided.
"Of course it's not fun for the painters if they have to do the same job again immediately." An employee of the company told him that they had recently renovated a forest house.
Just three weeks later, a storm caused renewed damage.
"It's very frustrating."
