Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will not be a candidate in the next national elections, his spokesman said Wednesday evening shortly before the expected dissolution of parliament that will pave the way for new elections in the fall.

The outgoing prime minister announced to the elected officials of Yamina, his political formation, "

", his spokesperson told the press in a short message in Hebrew, a few hours before the dissolution of the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament.
