Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Spadi told Qatari network Al-Jazeera tonight (Wednesday) that "there is no talk of (establishing) a military coalition of which Israel will be a part," during a visit to Biden in the Middle East in July.
Spadi claimed that nothing was presented about a military coalition that includes Israel at this stage.
The Jordanian minister made the remarks following the publication this week of a military summit of Israel and Arab countries held in March in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
Iran has uncovered an underground attack UAV base
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the meeting was attended by Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi and army chiefs from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Arab countries. It was also reported that the parties discussed coordination with the UAV threat from Iran.
Meanwhile, the Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadid reported yesterday that there was a strong current in the security system and Egyptian intelligence services against any military coalitions against Iran.
In this context, senior military officials expressed opposition to this in internal discussions.
Sources also told the newspaper that the Egyptian president's recent visit to Oman was intended to send a reassuring message to the Iranians that Cairo is not interested in any military confrontation with Tehran.
