Lasso suspends dialogue with Conaie and it qualifies the Government of Ecuador as authoritarian

President Guillermo Lasso suspended dialogue with the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) after an attack on a military convoy that left one person dead and 12 wounded.

Conaie responded that this halt to the dialogue confirms the government's "authoritarianism", incapacity and lack of will.
