The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (29th) that, after consulting relevant regional stakeholders, 12 more pet-sharing parks will be established on July 1, bringing the number of pet-sharing parks under the LCSD to more than 110.
The newly established "Pet Sharing Parks" include Wing Lee Street Sitting-out Area in Central and Western District, designated locations at Kwun Tong Waterfront Garden, Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park, and Che Kung Temple Road Playground.
From July 1st, the new "Pet Sharing Park" will be distributed in six districts, namely Central and Western District, Eastern District, Kwun Tong District, Yau Tsim Mong District, Sai Kung District and Sha Tin District. The locations include North Point Ferry Pier Plaza Waterfront Garden , Lei Yue Mun Rest Garden, and Waterloo Road/Wylie Road Rest Area, etc.
The LCSD said that it will consider the public's views on the new arrangement, and if the response is satisfactory, it will consider opening more venues for pets to enter in the future.
The authorities also reminded the public to abide by the rules set by the LCSD when using the "Pet Sharing Park", including the need to lead their pets on a leash or a leash and properly control them to prevent pets from disturbing others; Keep the venue clean and hygienic.
