As her spokesman announced on Monday, actress Mary Mara died in a swimming accident.
She became known through the series "Emergency Room" and "Criminal Minds".
Mary Mara was 61 years old.

The 61-year-old drowned while swimming in the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York.
She was also staying with her sister in the summer house in Cape Vincent, as reported by morgenpost.de.
Police and rescue workers arrived at 8:10 a.m. local time on the banks of the river in the village of Cape Vincent.
They discovered a body they identified as Mary T. Mara, according to the release.
Investigations so far have shown that Mary Mara drowned.
Another autopsy is to be performed.
