The "longest banquet in Bavaria" attracted 10,000 people to the streets of Moosburg.

Now the city has produced a film about it - including drone footage.

Moosburg

- Even days later, the major event is still an omnipresent topic of conversation in the city: Last Saturday, Moosburg hosted the "Longest Banquet in Bavaria" - attracting around 10,000 participants to the city center.

The festively decorated, lined-up beer benches were 1,250 meters long - fitting for the 1,250th birthday that the City of the Three Roses is celebrating this year.

The many visitors along the banquet table were in a good mood and enthusiastic about the atmosphere.

Red and white dress code seen across the city

Many visitors - as well as the organizers - were particularly enthusiastic about the fact that the majority of people adhered to the previously announced dress code of "red and white", which was intended to pay homage to the colors of the city coat of arms.

The feeling of belonging that this created, but also the ideal summer weather, a successful organization and last but not least the magic of the new inspired the people of Moosburg and from abroad.

The fact that there had been longer waiting times at individual refreshment stands at peak times was bearable for most and did not cloud the overall picture.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The city had made sure that this unique event was properly documented: a film team was out and about in the streets, alleys and at the tithe barn throughout the evening of the festival to capture the atmosphere and hold it for posterity.

A drone flight over the entire route of the 1250 meter sign was also part of the video project.

For this purpose, the drone pilot was paved the way by security personnel while he followed his aircraft with the remote control.

On Wednesday, the city published the results of the film recordings - as an "official aftermovie" on the municipality's online platforms and social media channels.

The work was produced by Roman Liebl alias romX.Film, who penned the short film with which the city had been promoting the event for weeks.

The fact that visitors to the “Longest Festtafel Bayerns” are still fondly reminded of the event days later is shown by the strong response just minutes after publication: the three-minute film was shared and sent around wildly - even beyond the borders of Moosburg.
