Tried to break into the teacher's house - who was at home because of the strike (Walla system)
A young man tried to break into a teacher's home in Netivot this week during school hours.
However, the young man was apparently not updated on the strike in the education system, and the teacher who remained at his home encountered a burglar and managed to drive him out of the house.
The teacher shared the case in the neighborhood WhatsApp group, where a friend said "stupid! If only he had checked and knew that Shifa Ben-David had taken a strike today."
The burglar arrived at the teacher's home in one of the new neighborhoods in Netivot and tried to break through the electric shutter, but the landlord heard the experience and shouted at him.
When the young man realized that someone was in the house, he ran, fled the scene, and jumped over the wall around the building.

Earlier this month, the teachers' union launched a round of sanctions, due to wage gaps and the Treasury's request to change the vacation schedule.
As part of the round, classes in kindergartens, schools and middle schools began at 10:00 a.m., each day in a different district, with the widespread disruptions designed to put pressure on the Ministry of Finance to reach a wage agreement even before the end of the school year.
Subsequently, studies were suspended in kindergartens, elementary schools and studios for a full period of time.
