Several new buildings and extensions as well as a completely new traffic artery with construction starting this year - the Freising State Building Authority has some major road construction projects in the pipeline for the Erding district.

Erding - They presented Felix Krötz and Thomas Jakob from the building authority as well as District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer and Matthias Huber from the district office in a press conference on Tuesday.

Among the projects are central traffic arteries.

As is well known, the new Eichenrieder B 388 bypass has been ticked off, traffic has been rolling here since May 18th.

The largest future project in the district is the construction of the new B 388 bypass of Taufkirchen.

Krötz confirmed "that we want to start in the fall" - with a makeshift bypass in the north of the community, where one day the new B 388 will pass under the existing B 15.

After an agreement was reached with the last farmer, there is now “enforceable building law”.

The bypass will be around 5.5 kilometers long and will feature ten structures.

Total costs of 52.2 million euros are currently being discussed.

Krötz expects a construction period of five to six years.

A major construction site is the demolition and new construction of the B 15 bridge in the middle of Dorfen from 1936. Jakob reported that the temporary bridge was ready and the demolition was in progress.

"Our goal remains that traffic will roll over the new bridge by the end of this year," emphasized the spokesman.

He estimated the total costs at around 3.5 million euros.

State road 2082 will be expanded as a through road from Wartenberg in two sections.

According to Krötz, the first section between Aufhammer Straße and Marktplatz will start in September, with state funds from the Corona investment program, among other things.

In 2023, the second incision should continue to the junction with district road ED 2/Lindenallee.

According to Krötz, the through road will have wider sidewalks, two traffic lights, barrier-free bus stops and noise-reducing asphalt.

The municipality contributes to the projected total costs of around 3.2 million euros.

A new footpath and cycle path is being built along state road 2332 in the municipality of Pastetten between Zeilern and the district border with Ebersberg - with the municipality for almost one million euros.

Groundbreaking is also scheduled for this fall.

The roadway rehabilitation on the airport tangent east between Neufinsing and Markt Schwaben has just been completed.

A mammoth project is looming in the shadow of the airport: near Schwaig, the ED 5 is to be expanded to three lanes.

Two new bridges over Erdinger Allee and the - future - S-Bahn ring closure are planned.

Krötz announced that construction of a temporary bypass would begin in the fall.

A temporary roundabout is being built not far from the Hellinger car dealership so that cars can use the footpath and cycle path on the old Freisinger Straße.

The cyclists meanwhile get a new path including a new bridge over an airport ditch.

According to a rough estimate, the ED 5 expansion will cost 15 million euros, with the municipality, Deutsche Bahn and district participating.

On the ED22 between Dorfen and St. Wolfgang, the road construction authority has the bridge over the Goldach renewed.

In this course, the ED 22 gets a new road surface.

It started in July, according to Krötz the blocking should last until the end of the year.

1.3 million euros are estimated for this.

The ED 2 between Berglern and Manhartsdorf also gets a new asphalt layer and drainage.

Work has been ongoing since June 20th and is expected to be completed around July 8th.

The municipality contributes to the total costs of around 0.4 million euros.

The measure is part of the construction of the Rewe market in Berglern.

The construction of the new bridge of the ED 31 over the B 15 near Hohenpolding was completed with a delay on June 1st.

The road construction authority is using the federal funding program “Stadt & Land” to rehabilitate five pedestrian and cycle paths alongside the road: on the ED 5 between Oberding and Notzing, on the ED 7 between Notzing and Aufkirchen and between Aufkirchen and FTO, on the ED 20 between Bockhorn and Mauggen and on the ED 18 east and west of Lappach.

In addition, there are smaller-scale renovations on federal and state roads (116,000 euros) and district roads (130,000 euros).

They are planned from summer 2022 to next year.
