A New York restaurant in Times Square was particularly noisy this week, not because of a crowd of visitors, but because of unusual guests - a swarm of bees.

About 2,000 bees took over the restaurant's outdoor seating area, fleeing visitors.
Those who came to the rescue were New York City police officers, or more precisely members of the organization's bee department (yes, it turns out that this is a thing).
They arrived at the scene, captured the swarm, and moved the bees to a place where they could benefit the environment and pollinate flowers, without frightening the residents.
There was quite the buzz late last night at 3 World Trade Center as 8,000 honeybees swarmed the side of the building.
Thankfully, a quick response from @NYPDBees resulted in the safe capture of our flying friends who were relocated without incident to an apple orchard.

And if you thought the bee department was not necessary, we'll tell you that this week in particular there was a heavy load, and they were called to evacuate a swarm of 8,000 bees near the World Trade Center.
This time they moved them to an apple orchard near the city.
In May, they were called to deal with a huge swarm that included about 15,000 items in the Queens borough.
Times Square was buzzing today! @NYPDBees was called in to safely remove 2,000 bees from a restaurant seating area near the crossroads of the world.
The đ will now be relocated to an area where their pollenating skills will be put to good use.

And we ask, will the restaurant take advantage of the amusing situation, and add dishes with honey to the menu?
time will tell.
Were we wrong?
Fixed!
