Today, the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment received the second batch of 100 internal transport buses provided by the Chinese side to the Syrian people, within the framework of the support provided by the People's Republic of China to Syria.
The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, confirmed in a press statement after receiving the buses in the fairgrounds and international markets that they represent an important need for the Syrian people to secure the necessary means of transportation for them and to fill the shortage of internal transport buses caused by the unjust terrorist war on Syria, noting that this batch The new buses will not be the last and are an important indicator of the depth of friendship.
Minister Makhlouf pointed out that China has always been supportive of Syria since the beginning of the war on it and has provided a lot of support in the humanitarian and relief field and is still providing, in addition to joint cooperation with a number of Chinese companies in the field of alternative energy, hoping for more cooperation to include all fields.
The Minister of Local Administration and Environment called on all Chinese companies working in the field of solid waste recycling, electricity generation, gas and fertilizer industry to come to Syria to contribute to the reconstruction of Syria alongside Syrian companies.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ayman Susan, said that this batch of buses is a continuation of China's supportive stance against Syria in its war against terrorism and it embodies the deep historical relations between the two countries, pointing out that China is always working to provide everything that would alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people while On the other hand, we find on the other side those who support terrorism and steal the Syrian national wealth such as wheat and oil, and encourage the separatist SDF militias to harm the unity of the Syrian national territory.
Susan stressed that Syria is looking forward to China's effective contribution to the reconstruction process, as it is one of the few powers in the world that possesses the capabilities to participate in it, and Syria welcomes any work in this field.
The Chinese Ambassador in Damascus Feng Biao, in turn, indicated that this support provided by his country to Syria comes within the framework of supporting the Syrian people to confront the crisis and unilateral coercive sanctions, adding: China considers Syria a partner and a close friend and seeks in the future to strengthen and develop cooperation relations to include various fields, as will be done Work to secure third and fourth batches of buses, as they play an important role in relieving pressure on other means of transportation and securing mass transportation for the population.
The Chinese ambassador stressed that his country is keen to expand the support provided to Syria to include the fields of medicine, communications, transportation and others, and to activate the agreements signed between the two sides to strengthen economic and trade relations that help restore Syria to its health as soon as possible.
The handovers were attended by the Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, Dr. Fadi Salti Al-Khalil, representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Damascus, and the Deputy Minister of Local Administration for Environmental Affairs Moataz Duhji.
