Schützengau celebrates its anniversary with a large procession

Around 40 clubs, a big procession and a ceremony in the Marthabräuhalle: The Schützengau Fürstenfeldbruck has put together a big program for its 100th anniversary.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, July 3rd.
Because of the pageant, the city center will be closed to traffic.
Fürstenfeldbruck
- For a century, the Schützengau has been the umbrella organization for the clubs from its catchment area - the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck, Dachau and Aichach-Friedberg.
Around 50 clubs currently belong to the district.
The association celebrates its anniversary from 8.30 a.m. when the participating clubs move into the monastery church, where a festive service begins at 9 a.m.
From 10.30 a.m. the celebration party will march from the monastery church to the Marthabräuhalle.
She will be accompanied by the Fürstenfeldbruck town band and the Schöngeising and Unterschweinbach brass bands.
Via Kloster- it goes onto Schöngeisinger Straße.
The procession then leads via Hauptstrasse and Augsburger Strasse (B 2) to the Marthabräuhalle, where the guests, their flag delegations and their marksmen, as well as the guests of honor, will arrive at 11:30 a.m.
After the singing of the Bavarian anthem and the parade of the Schützenkönigen, the chairman of the festival committee, Jürgen Lieberam, welcomes the guests.
From 1.30 p.m. there will be a ceremonial speech by Gau rifle champion Wolfgang Dietrich and greetings from District Administrator and patron Thomas Karmasin, the 1st state rifle champion Christian Kühn, the 1st district rifle champion Alfred Rainer and the third mayor Brigitta Klemenz.
After the presentation of commemorative gifts, the festive afternoon slowly fades away.
The Luitpold Musicians Germerswang provide the musical framework.
Important for drivers: During the parade from 10 a.m. to around 12 p.m., Schöngeisinger Strasse from the junction with Puchermühlstrasse and Hauptstrasse and Augsburger Strasse up to the junction with Marthabräustrasse will be closed to traffic.
