As-Suwayda-Sana
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in Suwayda, at the beginning of this month, finished marketing the entire quantities of apples delivered from farmers for the season 2021-2022.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Rabie Ghanem, announced in a statement to SANA’s reporter that the quantities of apples received and marketed amounted to about 1150 tons, and they were marketed within the vegetable and fruit hall in the city of Suwayda and a number of the foundation’s branches in the governorates, in line with the demand for the material.
Ghanem indicated that the quantities of marketed apples are of various types and were stored within the branch's refrigeration units throughout the season, and they were presented successively at discounted prices from the market, pointing out that work is currently underway to prepare the marketing plan and complete the necessary preparations for the new season.
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in As-Suwayda had received about 160 tons of apples from farmers for the 2020-2021 season.
