The Attorney General's Office of the State of Tamaulipas, in Mexico, reported this Wednesday that an investigation was launched into the death of journalist Antonio de la Cruz, allegedly attacked with a firearm in an incident in which he also a woman was injured.
According to the institution, after the first investigations it was determined that, since he was a journalist, the death will be investigated by the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Crimes Committed against Freedom of Expression, Human Rights and Vulnerable Groups.
