The Resident Coordinator of United Nations Activities in Syria, Imran Reda, announced that 94 percent of the detainees in the al-Hol camp, which is controlled by the “Qasd” militia linked to the American occupation, are women and children and suffer from increasing insecurity, and that the children detained there are doomed to lead a life without a future.

In a statement carried by the media, Reda indicated that the detainees in the camp live in “a very harsh and unsafe place, where since January of last year 106 people, most of them women, have been killed,” noting that there are about 27 thousand Iraqi detainees in the camp and 18 to 19 thousand. Syrians and about 12,000 people from other countries.”

The refugees, who are detained by the “Qasd” militia linked to the American occupation in the Al-Hol camp, east of Hasaka, suffer from a severe shortage of various necessities of life such as food, medicine and safety, in addition to their continuous exploitation by the militia as a card in the political bazaar and the bargaining of many countries to support their separatist agendas .

The UN coordinator pointed out that many other countries that have to accept the return of their nationals refuse to do so, stressing that "the only solution is to empty the camp."

Syria and Russia had warned more than once, through the statements of the Syrian and Russian coordinating bodies concerned with the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons, of the deteriorating conditions in the areas controlled by the American occupation and the “Qasd” militia, especially in the al-Hol camp, where ISIS terrorists continue their crimes inside the camp with the support of the occupation. The Americans delivered weapons, ammunition, and wireless devices to them, which was reflected on the ground, as the takfiri organization’s practices and the assassinations it carried out against the camp’s residents increased.
