The first investigations into the femicide of Mexican singer Yrma Lydya Gamboa, 21, suggest that her husband was able to plan the murder and at least four people participated, according to a report from the Mexico City Attorney General's Office to which The newspaper El Universal had access.
The artist died on June 23 when her husband, Jesús Hernández Alcocer, an influential 79-year-old lawyer, allegedly shot her three times in a luxurious Japanese restaurant of the Suntory chain in Colonia del Valle, in the Alcadía Benito Juárez.

Hernández summoned his wife under the pretext of agreeing on the details of their separation
and that it was the singer who asked that the meeting be held in a public place.
Gamboa began his musical career in opera, but Mexican music was his passion.
The authorities suspect that at least four people could have participated in the execution of the plan, including the lawyer's driver and bodyguard and two people he trusted whose identities have not been revealed.
One of these men was captured on a security video, which is in the possession of the authorities, aboard a red van after the murder.
It is believed that this person, identified as Óscar, took the weapon with him, which was later recovered, according to the newspaper El País.
The suspect is still at large.

The investigators do not rule out the involvement of restaurant workers, who did not detect that the lawyer was carrying a weapon.
The preliminary reconstruction establishes that he entered a private area of the premises he had reserved armed, and that after committing the crime he was helped by his bodyguard to flee.
Although the police did not find the weapon in the restaurant, but recovered it days later in another place, the expert evidence indicates that it was Hernández who fired the pistol, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

“The first knock sounded like something dry: we thought something had fallen from the restaurant.
A second blow was heard and when we realized that he was attacking her, it was because in the third shot he stood up and hit her in the head,” said Gabriel Sánchez, a witness to the crime in an interview with the news program Hora 21.

and has blamed other subjects who allegedly wanted to extort money from Gamboa.

The relatives and friends of the singer demanded during her funeral this Monday that her femicide not go unpunished and that the murderer be brought to justice.
"I want justice for my daughter and for all the women who have been murdered," declared her mother, María Jiménez.
Reports in the Mexican media indicate that the young woman suffered abuse from her partner, who did not let her go out without permission to her recitals or allow her to see her family.
Hernández remains in informal pretrial detention in Mexico City's northern prison.
