Turbulent meeting at TSV West: Two members were expelled for behavior that was harmful to the club.

President Anton Maletz also took his leave - but for other reasons.

Fürstenfeldbruck

– Four hours, interrupted by three breaks, the 70 members of the football club in Bruck West, which now has almost 500 members, had to wait in the restaurant Auf der Lände.

Only then were the 16 items on the agenda completed.

Bruck's Mayor Erich Raff, who had another appointment that evening, said goodbye after the first break.

By then, he had witnessed a mudslinging, marked by intrigue and sickening accusations from two factions at the club.

But there were also members who spoke up and tried to be prudent.

They challenged the congregation to let go of what was and to look ahead.

"It won't get the club any further if we wage a public war here now."

For the first time in the club's 50-year history, there were nine applications from members to exclude three people from the club.

These were justified with unsportsmanlike and club-damaging behavior of those affected.

Here, too, a heated discussion ensued, which ultimately ended with the vote that two or three members were excluded from the association.

Anton Maletz led the association as president for six years.

Now he is moving away from Bruck.

There was also movement in the board of directors: After a total of eleven years at TSV West - six as vice and five years as president - Anton Maletz ended his involvement with the district town association due to a move.

He handed over responsibility to one of his two deputies, Andreas May. Deputy Ivan Severinac and treasurer Stefanie Wagner have also left the board.

The new management team is completed by Quirin Förster and Progon Leci (both second board members), Peter Teufel (treasurer), Meltem Yildiz (youth leader) and Sonja May (secretary).

Maletz was also able to point to positive things in his last report as President.

The new path that TSV West has taken in youth work has had a successful start.

Not least because of this, the number of members has doubled in the past year.

The finances are also in order again, so that the association has retained its non-profit status for another five years.

However, the new sports facility on Cerveteristraße is taking its toll: a further increase in contributions is necessary, which has been approved by the members.

The move to the new sports center is scheduled for August 1st.

In September, the 50th anniversary will be duly celebrated.

Finally, Maletz promised to continue to support the new board until the completion of the entire construction project.
