The Sables d'Olonnes Criminal Court on Wednesday June 29 sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking between the Netherlands and Vendée, as well as a fine of 400,000 euros, announced the gendarmerie.

The searches carried out during the investigation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs worth more than one million euros: 15 kilos of ketamine, more than 30,000 sachets of ecstasy, 2 kilos of amphetamines or even 1 liter of GHB, according to a press release.
Weapons, vehicles worth 120,000 euros, ammunition and false identity documents were also seized.
These searches follow the interception on Saturday of a vehicle from the Netherlands.
Two people had been arrested: a man suspected of being the leader of this network, who admitted in police custody "
to being at the head of a traffic feeding the middle of the free parties
", and an accomplice, sentenced to a 6-month prison sentence accompanied by a suspended probation.
This international network was discovered in May by investigators from the Sables d'Olonnes research brigade, according to the press release from the national gendarmerie.
