Penzberg - At the Penzberg town festival there was also a matinee of town twinning.
Five city and district heads attended.
They all have one praise.
At the Penzberg town festival, a town twinning matinee took place on Saturday (June 25) on the town hall square.
In picture-book weather, delegations from the five twin towns of the former mining town sat down at tables with white and blue tablecloths, exchanged greetings and gifts and chatted animatedly to Dixie music.
The human is important
In his welcome address, host and mayor Stefan Korpan (CSU) underlined the friendship idea of the town twinning.
You get to know other citizens, from other cities and other countries, and realize: “People are the same everywhere, the problems are the same everywhere.” It is important to exchange ideas, to mingle and to get to know other cultures, because “the human , what is between us is so valuable, ”emphasized Penzberg's town hall chief.
