As-Suwayda-Sana
In an ancient town in the northwestern countryside of As-Suwayda, work began in a rural development center within the Masarati project implemented in cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development and funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF”.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in As-Suwayda, Eng. Samer Bahsas, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the center provides free vocational and educational training and is important for bringing about development in the countryside and enabling young people to enter the labor market. It is one of the six centers in Syria that were established within this project.
For his part, coordinator of the Masarati project at the European Institute for Cooperation and Development in Syria, Jamil Juma, said in a similar statement that the center targets young people from 15 to 24 years old and currently offers courses in the areas of solar energy system installation, sewing, computer driving, English language and life skills, with the possibility of expansion in the fields of others in the coming period.
