Second, rectify the system and method of teacher training.

The Education Colleges of the University of Education, Hong Kong University, CUHK and other schools should break away from the international ranking model and focus on cultivating good teachers.

The College of Education should give up the DSE enrollment model, increase flexibility, and encourage students who have held their first degree to transfer to teachers. For example, students who have completed chemistry can transfer to become chemistry teachers, which will increase the teacher's ability. quantity and quality.

The University of Education should be a place to really train teachers, not a thesis base chasing international rankings.

Real reforms are needed in this regard.

Teachers are the foundation of education, but Hong Kong education doesn't seem to value teachers. All those with good grades go to be doctors and lawyers. Some media also blindly tout the "Top Scholar" in exams, which is totally illogical.

The government should come out and correct this bad trend, because it promotes a kind of irrational elitism.

Third, the restructured university currently focuses only on the model of Western international rankings.

Universities should divide labor, each university has its own specialties, and should cultivate diversified talents instead of focusing on competing for some false names.

Fourth, rectify educational resources.

Open schools for sports and art development, open school resources, and do some pilot projects for community service, such as children's art workshops or children's physical development.

Fifth, connect with the mainland to establish a more robust system.

Sixth, the model of joint university admissions needs to be changed. If we want to develop in a truly diversified way, we should not be dominated by academic performance alone.

Each college should have more independent admission standards, such as arts, sports and medicine, and schools should have more autonomy.

In addition to good grades, there should also be a real model of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.

Seventh, vocational education needs major reforms. The current centralized model of the VTC (Vocational Training Council) is not healthy, and the subject resources with more enrollment are completely disproportionate to subjects with fewer students.

Some disciplines already require too many people, and some disciplines require more, which should be determined by a real industry assessment.

At present, many types of jobs such as car repairing and elevator repairing lack talents. What is the reason?

Why do a large number of students go to take courses that are not constructive at all for society?

Vocational training, which leads to talent shortages, requires research.

Eighth, the Education Bureau needs to carry out internal reforms and change the education model since the merger of the Bureau and the Bureau.

At present, the operation and policy formulation of the Education Bureau is basically based on the script, lacking professionalism and lack of implementation.

Ninth, promote the electronic textbooks.

Technology has been popularized, but the digitalization of education textbooks in Hong Kong has not been implemented.

Electronic textbooks can reduce the educational burden of parents. Taiwan has implemented it, and many places have implemented it. Hong Kong currently uses choice as an excuse, but in fact it does not really have a choice.

Tenth, establish a comprehensive national cultural education.

National education should focus on culture, with equal emphasis on culture and national conditions.
