The civil society activities in Hama, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of Hama Governorate and the City Council, launched an initiative (Hand in Hand to Return to My City More Beautiful) aimed at improving the aesthetic appearance and rehabilitating and decorating the southern entrance to the city.
The head of Hama City Council, Muawiya Jarjanazi, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the first initiative of its kind started from the stone water fountain, passing through the main roundabouts, the National Hospital highway, Al Alamein Street, Al-Assi Square, and up to the northern entrance with a length of 4 km. It also included lighting the city during the evening period with multiple, energy-saving light devices. .
For his part, Dr. Ammar Al-Jamal pointed out that one of the activities that launched the initiative is that it will continue to include all entrances to the city to contribute to showing the Al-Assi bride in the best way to be a starting point for future actions during which everyone will contribute to the reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism.
Al-Jamal pointed out that the local community provided the complete maintenance requirements of stone, tiles, cement and other work needs, while the city council provided maintenance and rehabilitation workshops.
It is noteworthy that the civil society activities, in cooperation with the governorate secretariat and the city council, carried out a afforestation campaign last April that included planting 500 ornamental and forestry plants on both sides of the southern entrance road to Hama.
