The presentation, which was presented as part of an event on the occasion of World Refugee Day, was co-organized by the Association of Birr and Services, the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, and the High Commissioner for Refugees in Qamishli.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Ibrahim Al-Khalidi, head of the Al-Birr Association and Social Services Council, said that the event highlights the importance of providing the necessary humanitarian services to refugees while they are subjected to forced displacement, in the presence of a number of Iraqi refugees.
In turn, the Iraqi refugee Fawaz Al-Ayed stated that he participated in the play to convey his message as a refugee and to introduce the humanitarian and medical services he obtained, which he considers a legitimate right for him as a human being.
In turn, the actors Ruqayya Saleh and Nayef Haj Ibrahim explained that they embodied the characters of a family that suffered from refugee conditions as a result of being subjected to terrorism and displacement outside their country.
Playwright Abdel Jaber Ibrahim Habib described the work as an attempt to draw the world's attention to the conditions that the refugee suffers from that restrict his freedom, which was deprived of him after he sought refuge in other areas far from his homeland.
The celebration of World Refugee Day 2000 was established on June 20 of each year in honor of refugees around the world to rally sympathy and understanding of their plight and recognition of their determination to rebuild their lives.
