Hubert Aiwanger had hesitated for months about the corona vaccination.
Now it could be of use: the Minister for Economic Affairs has contracted the virus.
Munich – In 2021, a vaccination debate about Bavaria's Deputy Prime Minister Hubert Aiwanger had kept the Free State busy for weeks.
Now the free voter boss and economics minister is suffering from Corona.
This was announced by his department on Wednesday (June 29).
At the same time, the house gave the all-clear: Aiwanger was not seriously ill and only had mild symptoms.
The Lower Bavarian took part in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Among other things, the group decided to end the FFP2 mask requirement in Bavaria’s local public transport – probably also on the initiative of the Minister of Economics.
"Of course, FFP2 masks offer greater security," he was
quoted as saying by the

"But we can now allow for easier breathing in trains."
Aiwanger suffers from Corona: Söder's vice must fit "Maischberger".
Another appointment is now flat for Aiwanger: He should actually be seen on Wednesday evening in the ARD talk "Maischberger".
The program would have included a talk about the energy supply in Germany, including one with the Green Party chairwoman Ricarda Lang.
Aiwanger is the last in a long line of ministers to be infected.
A corona summer wave can also be felt in Upper Bavaria.
The Economics Minister, who was presumably the last member of the cabinet, only had himself vaccinated against Covid last autumn.
In April, Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had to cancel a trip to Saudi Arabia due to a corona infection.
