At least four people died and three others were seriously injured this Thursday when a van carrying undocumented migrants crashed in the community of El Encinal, Texas.
The state Department of Public Safety said the driver "evaded officers and crashed into a commercial vehicle" in a suspected migrant smuggling operation at the border.
The accident occurred on Interstate 35, the same highway used by the truck that was found Monday with dozens of dead migrants.
