In every evening revived by the National Symphony Orchestra, it presents new proof that music is the language of the world transcends borders and makes human creativity a bridge of communication between them, bringing western music to the opera stage and introducing the people of the East to it in order to achieve human interaction and cultural cross-fertilization called creativity.
In the evening, which was held today at Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts, led by Maestro Misak Baghboudrian, the Brazilian pianist Mario Barbus participated in the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, and together they evoked a jazz sequence for piano and orchestra “snowflakes – lyrical waltz – volka – and a fast movement by author Alexander Tsavsman.”
The band also played Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker sequence, beginning with a stylized opening and international dances with a distinctive character, which moved the audience between Arab, Russian and Chinese dance, the March dance, the sugar fairy and small flutes, to conclude the evening with a waltz of roses.
