Damascus-SANA
According to the Director General of the General Company for Internal Transport in Damascus, Maurice Haddad Anam, 30 buses were allocated to Damascus and its countryside out of 100 buses received by the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment yesterday.
In a statement to SANA's reporter, Haddad indicated that work is underway to distribute buses on the most crowded appropriate lines and to secure the logistics and fuel cards for the new buses to enter service very soon.
Haddad explained that supplying the company with these buses will contribute to alleviating the transportation crisis, knowing that the actual need to reduce the crisis is greater than that.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment received the second batch of 100 internal transport buses provided by the Chinese side to the Syrian people, within the framework of the support provided by the People's Republic of China to Syria.
