The International Criminal Court (ICC) announced on Thursday (June 30) that it had issued three arrest warrants against three people for alleged war crimes committed during the war between Georgia and Russia in South Ossetia in 2008.

They are Mayramovich Mindzaev (also spelled Mindzayev), then Minister of Internal Affairs of de facto independent South Ossetia, Gamlet Guchmazov (or Kuchmazov) and David Georgiyevich Sanakoev, two other officials in South Ossetia, a the court said in a statement.
