The Russian army continues to advance in the Donbass.

According to a military expert, the German self-propelled howitzers in eastern Ukraine are not safe from a Moscow weapon.

Munich/Lyssychansk - Tactical retreat in the Donbass: The situation of the Ukrainian armed forces is getting worse in the war against Russia in the east of the country.

The government of President Volodymyr Zelenskyj recently put the ratio of the artillery systems at allegedly 1:20 - from the point of view of the defenders.

The western defense alliance NATO around the USA reacts.

Ukraine war: Russian artillery shell "Krasnopol" causes concern in Donbass

France will deliver six more Caesar howitzers to the Ukrainian army, President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday (June 30).

And: After the NATO summit in Madrid, Germany promised three additional self-propelled howitzers 2000, after just seven examples of the self-propelled Bundeswehr gun have arrived in the war zone.

But according to a military expert, none of these western arms deliveries are safe from a secret grenade from the Russian army of Moscow ruler Vladimir Putin: the Krasnopol.

It is a precision-guided artillery shell fired from 152mm and 155mm howitzers.

According to various reports, the Krasnopol can hit its targets with an accuracy of one meter.

Ultimately, what makes them so incredibly precise has not been handed down.

“It is really impressive and effective.

That quickly destroys what little support we send to Ukraine.

If you look, for example, the twelve guns from Germany and the Netherlands," explains Colonel Ralph Thiele in an interview with

.

The Krasnopol grenade of Russia

The Krasnopol is a Russian-made precision-guided artillery shell fired from 152mm and 155mm caliber howitzers.

After the artillery shot, stabilizing and steering wings unfold on the housing.

When approaching the target, the grenade automatically steers towards a target point marked by a laser.

The projectile has a range of up to 20 kilometers and an accuracy of one meter.

Thiele continues in the video conversation with the news portal: “The analysis of American military experts who see this ( Krasnopol, ed

.) in comparison to US weapon systems

is relevant to me .

And there you see that, for example, the laser control by drones compared to comparable American systems means that they (

) are much more precise.

Just one meter, while comparable American systems come to ten meters.”

That "of course makes up a whole world," says Thiele on

: "That's why the Russians are showing off something they can do." Apparently, the Russian invasion troops can mark their targets like tanks using drones.

When the Krasnopol was introduced in the mid-1990s, it still needed a forward artillery spotter to laser mark targets.

However, the 1.3 meter long grenade has a considerable explosive power.

According to Thiele, it is capable of destroying an entire bridge.
