The Katholisches Bildungswerk publishes a brochure on the occasion of its 50th anniversary and offers a look back and an outlook on its success story.
Celebrations are planned for July.

– The Katholisches Bildungswerk Erding (KBW) has every reason to celebrate this year.
The 50th anniversary celebration is coming up.
For this reason, those responsible around Managing Director Hans Otto Seitschek have created a brand new brochure with retrospects and prospects.
Catholic educational work began as early as the 1960s, when the trend prevailed to place it more and more in the hands of lay people.
However, the volunteers needed a structure, and so the association “Kirchliches Bildungswerk im Landkreis Erding” was founded on April 25 under the leadership of Hans Niedermayer only for recognized institutions, so an association was essential.”
Adult education continued to develop in the following years.
Theology still plays an important role, as speaker Nikolaus Hintermaier emphasizes.
Above all, the offers for pilgrims would enjoy great popularity.
As part of the anniversary, there is also a so-called city pilgrimage through Erding.
Stations include St. Prosper, the New Apostolic Church and the Evangelical Church of the Redeemer.
There would be some challenges in the future, says Seitschek and explains: "We would like to continue to respond strongly to our participants, find a good bond with them and respond to their wishes." In addition to theological adult education, the offer also includes the points of society and politics, health , art and culture as well as generation plus.
An important milestone followed in 1989 with the founding of the Family Center.
There is help for the parents of children of all ages.
Starting with infant care or breastfeeding preparation, continuing with baby massage, Pekip or Fen-Kid.
Parent-child forest groups, exercise courses and lectures for parents of teenagers, which are mainly held online, are also offered.
In total, the 40 leaders are currently offering over 50 courses throughout the Erding district.
At the official presentation of the new brochure, Seitschek was pleased about the great variety in the KBW program: "All generations will find something interesting with us."
He and his team are also proud of the written work they have created: "We put a lot of work into it and it offers detailed information about our educational work." order.

On Friday, July 1st, a big family garden party starts at 2 p.m. in Maria Thalheim, including a guided tour of the church for children.
