Hausham - As reported by the municipality of Hausham, pseudomonads and coliform germs were found in the drinking water network of the municipality and the district hospital.
There is a cooking order.
Pseudomonas and coliform germs were detected during routine water tests in the drinking water network of the municipality of Hausham and in the Agatharied hospital.
The municipality of Hausham announces this on its website.
So far it is unclear how the germs got into the drinking water and will be investigated as soon as possible.
"Immediate measures were taken to protect the residents of Hausham and the patients in the hospital," explains the municipality.
The chlorination of the drinking water has already been initiated.
Until a sufficient concentration in the drinking water is reached, an additional boiling order comes into force as a precautionary measure.

That means:
All households in the community of Hausham, including the hospital, are asked to boil tap water as a precaution.
The chlorination must be carried out until the cause of the contamination has been clarified and eliminated.
Additional precautionary measures were also taken at Agatharied Hospital.
A risk to patients or employees in the hospital and the residents of Hausham can thus be ruled out.
Citizens are asked to inform neighbors about the cooking order.
