Household consumption in France rose again in May, by 0.7%, after two consecutive months of decline in April (-0.7% in revised data) and March (-1.4%) reported Thursday INSEE.

This increase is almost exclusively due to the sharp rebound in consumption of manufactured goods (+2.7% after -1.3% in April)
," explains the National Institute of Statistics.
Food consumption is stable (+0.1% after a 1.2% decline the previous month), while energy consumption "
declines significantly
" (-2.6% against +1.9% in April) .
