CSU councilor Katrin Hennig resigns her mandate in Moosinning - for private reasons.

- The farewell came as a surprise.

"Municipal councilor Katrin Hennig announced on June 21 that she would like to resign from her office as a municipal councillor," explained Moosinning's mayor Georg Nagler (SPD) at the end of the most recent municipal council meeting, adding: "I think it's a shame."

The mayor thanked the CSU councilor for the past eight years, the last two years under his tenure, and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.

"It is no longer necessary to give reasons," added the community leader.

As a farewell, Hennig said a few words to her – now former – fellow councillors.

"It wasn't an easy decision for me," she said.

"But I just don't have the time anymore." She once again explicitly thanked all fellow campaigners on the municipal council.

“It was good togetherness and a very good atmosphere.

Thank you for that.” The outgoing CSU councilor was bid farewell by the committee with hearty applause.

After the result of the municipal council election on March 15, 2020, according to the CSU list, Christoph Meier was the successor, explained Nagler.

Another list successor is Monika Stangl.

Meier will now be asked whether he would like to accept the office.
