The cadres of the communications branch in Lattakia continue to repair the damage caused by the storm that hit the governorate last Saturday, with the aim of restoring telecommunications services to the affected areas.
Director of Lattakia Communications Branch, Engineer Ahmed Al-Hayek, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the Ministry of Communications and the company worked to secure the technical supplies needed for repair, including hanging telephone cables and wooden poles, while mobilizing all engineering mechanisms and technical elements to carry out the required work.
Al-Hayek indicated that the number of telephone lines affected by the storm reached more than 5,000 telephone lines in Ain al-Bayda, Karsana, al-Shati, al-Qanjara, Ballouran, Zagrine, Ain al-Tineh, al-Salib, Bahlouli, al-Jandari, and Tishreen, stressing that work will continue around the clock until all damaged telecommunications services are restored before the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday.
