The head of Deir ez-Zor city council, Raed Mandeel, said in a statement to SANA reporter that after the completion of the infrastructure rehabilitation works on the street related to sewage, water, electricity, communications and sidewalks, work is currently underway to extend the asphalt jacket on the street, which is one of the vital streets and constitutes an important commercial center in the city. He pointed out that this is the penultimate stage of the project, which will complete the installation of lighting poles.

The director of the General Company for Roads and Bridges branch, Engineer Mohieldin Salami, explained that the works include treating potholes in the road body and extending an asphalt shirt to the entire street, which extends from the Al-Dahiya junction in the west to the communications building in the east, pointing out that the company’s workshops are working intensively to finish the work as soon as possible due to the intensity of movement in street.
