Meghan Markle's court battles with half-sister Samantha are entering a new round.
Now the Duchess is trying to ward off her lawsuit.
"Unfounded" allegations should be finally refuted.
Samantha vs. Meghan: Confused backgrounds, changing content of complaints
In her indictment, Samantha emphasized that Meghan did not have the difficult childhood that she would have publicly portrayed.
She also referred to the famous interview with Oprah Winfrey (68), which the Duchess and Prince Harry had given the moderator as ex-Royal newcomers.
Samantha accused Meghan of spreading lies about her family.
According to findings from "US Weekly", Meghan tried to dismiss her half-sister's lawsuit and spoke of an "unfounded defamation case".
But a judge dismissed the Duchess' request.
According to the report available to the US portal, the ex-royal had already tried to invalidate the lawsuit on June 17 after Samantha had submitted an "amended complaint".

This change
apparently played Meghan's lawyers into the cards.
"In her desperation to save her [Samantha] case, the plaintiff literally made up one of the statements
, as evidenced by the lack of transcript of the interview."
Meghan's team also accused Samantha of deleting "specific factual allegations" from her original complaint
.
Basically, a statement by Meghan from a CBS interview from March 2021 with husband Prince Harry summarizes the dispute well.
"I grew up as an only child, everyone who grew up around me knows that - and I wish I had siblings," said the Californian by choice.
She hasn't seen Samantha in almost 20 years, she added.
It is also a fact: Only Meghan's mother came to the wedding.
“This dispute had no place in this court or any other”
Hopefully putting an end to the emotional tangle, the former 'Suits' actress' team summarized the situation as follows: There was no need for a judge to be involved, the report said.
The obvious lack of facts should now invalidate the lawsuit.

"We do not use a jury to determine whether two people are 'close' or whether someone genuinely feels they 'grew up as an only child,'" Meghan's filing reads.
“Courts are unable to rule on the legality of a person's feelings about their childhood and their relationships.
Nor should they be."
Meghan's lawyers classify the situation: It is not a case for the court
This dispute had no place in this court or any other.
It is now up to the judges to decide how to proceed.
Samantha can no longer present herself as an emotional winner, as she did in her last attack when she accused her younger half-sister of "unforgivable behavior".
The task now is to limit the damage.
