He has just opened the International Congress of CIRIEC (International Center for Research and Information on the Public, Social and Cooperative Economy), which was held in Valencia, Spain.
In his speech, he mainly insisted on social inequalities.
Inequalities are one of the main stigmas of the financial crisis in Spain. Could inflation make them worse?
Hard to say.
In the United States, we have seen a much larger increase in wages among low-income workers than among those who earn more.
In fact, we have reduced wage inequalities.
There is a problem with the big profits of the oil industry, but this is not the case in Spain.
The problem will rather be that the population will see its real income decrease.
