Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russia is no longer implementing the demands and instructions of the European Court of Human Rights, commenting on this court's request not to carry out the death sentence against foreign mercenaries.
Russia Today reported that Peskov today called on this court to address the authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic directly regarding the fate of the aforementioned mercenaries.
"As you know, Russia no longer complies with the instructions of the European Court of Human Rights and in this case it must communicate directly with the leadership of the Donetsk Republic," Peskov said.
It is noteworthy that Russia withdrew from the Council of Europe last March after the start of the military operation in Ukraine, and therefore it is no longer bound by any international obligations to this court.
