283 new, 5 elected in the 20th century
In 2017, during the Macronist wave, 431 new deputies were elected out of a total of 577. This time, the renewal is on a smaller scale with 283 new ones.
That is nearly half of the Hemicycle, which remains among the highest renewal rates.
With those re-elected in 2017, nearly 90% are beginning their first or second term.
The historical depth of the new Assembly is therefore very weak.
There are only two MPs left to have been elected in 1993: Charles de Courson (Marne), who sits continuously, and Marc Le Fur (Côtes-d'Armor), with an interruption from 1997 to 2002. Jean- Luc Warsmann (Ardennes) entered the Assembly in 1995 and Michel Herbillon (Val-de-Marne) and Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (Essonne) were elected in 1997. Finally, 17 deputies are from the "class" of 2002, including Eric Woerth or André Chassaigne
